Phlebotomy

This course focuses on equipment, techniques and common laboratory tests. Students will practice venipuncture and capillary punctures on a training arm and progress toward practicing on real patients. Students will participate in role-playing activities to simulate possible patient interactions. Includes a 40-hour externship.
